SUPER TET 2026: Eligibility, Syllabus, Selection Process & Preparation Guide

SUPER TET is a state-level recruitment exam conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board for appointing assistant teachers in UP government primary and upper primary schools. Unlike UPTET (which is an eligibility test), SUPER TET directly leads to job appointment.
Eligibility
- Must have a valid UPTET or CTET certificate
- Graduation with D.El.Ed / B.Ed as per the post applied for
- Age: 21 to 40 years (with category relaxation)
Exam Pattern
SUPER TET has 150 questions for 150 marks, covering:
- Language (Hindi, English, Sanskrit) — 40 marks
- Mathematics — 20 marks
- Science — 10 marks
- Environment & Social Studies — 10 marks
- Teaching Methodology — 10 marks
- Child Psychology — 10 marks
- General Knowledge / Current Affairs — 30 marks
- Logical Reasoning — 05 marks
- Information Technology — 05 marks
- Life Skills / Management / Aptitude — 10 marks
Selection Process
The final merit list is based on a combined score: SUPER TET written exam (70% weightage), academic marks (graduation — 10%), and UPTET/CTET score (20%).
How to Prepare
Since SUPER TET has a broader syllabus than UPTET, start by clearing UPTET first, then add GK, Reasoning, and IT topics. Use Lucent GK for current affairs and practice daily from apps like Testbook or Adda247.
