UPTET 2026 Paper – Topper Level Notes

Topic: Vocabulary & Comprehension (शब्दावली एवं बोध)

Antonyms & Synonyms | Homophones | Silent Letters | Unseen Passage

🎯 WHY THIS TOPIC MATTERS IN UPTET PAPER

Vocabulary & Comprehension UPTET Paper-I

Question Pattern: Antonyms-Synonyms में "Choose the word most similar/opposite in meaning to the given word" format होता है। Homophones में "Choose the correct word to fill in the blank" या "Identify the homophone" format होता है। Silent Letters में "Which letter is silent in the given word" या "Identify the word with a silent letter" पूछा जाता है। Unseen Passage में passage पढ़कर comprehension questions, vocabulary questions (meaning of underlined word), और sometimes title suggestion पूछी जाती है। Examiner की Focus: Examiner test करना चाहता है कि aspirant के पास practical word knowledge है या नहीं — इसलिए options में closely related words रखे जाते हैं जो अर्थ में बहुत similar लगते हैं लेकिन exact answer अलग होता है।

📝 TOPPER NOTES / SHORT HIGH-VALUE THEORY

🔷 SECTION 1: ANTONYMS & SYNONYMS (विलोम एवं समानार्थी शब्द)

Important Distinction: Synonyms exactly same नहीं होते — subtle differences होते हैं। "Slim" और "Thin" दोनों "पतला" के synonyms हैं, लेकिन "slim" positive connotation रखता है जबकि "thin" neutral या negative हो सकता है। इसी तरह "Notorious" और "Famous" दोनों "प्रसिद्ध" के synonyms हैं, लेकिन "notorious" negative fame को indicate करता है। यह UPTET के MCQ traps में सबसे commonly used trick है।

Pedagogy Linkage: Antonyms-Synonyms vocabulary सिखाने का सबसे effective तरीका Word Web Activity है — board पर एक central word लिखें और students चारों तरफ synonyms और antonyms लिखें। Semantic Mapping approach में related words और opposite words को visual diagram में connect करके दिखाया जाता है। Reading-based vocabulary development सबसे research-supported approach है — students को level-appropriate texts regularly पढ़वाने से natural vocabulary acquisition होती है। Contextual Guessing Strategy सिखाएं — passage में unknown word का meaning उसके surrounding context से guess करने की skill develop करें।

🔷 SECTION 2: HOMOPHONES (समरूपी भिन्नार्थक शब्द)

Definition और Core Idea: Homophones वे words होते हैं जिनका pronunciation (उच्चारण) समान या बहुत मिलता-जुलता होता है, लेकिन spelling और meaning दोनों अलग-अलग होते हैं। Word "homophone" Greek भाषा से आया है — "homo" = same, "phone" = sound। इन्हें sound-alike words भी कहते हैं। UPTET में homophones से typically "Fill in the blank with correct word" या "Choose the correctly spelled word for the given context" format में questions आते हैं।

Homophones और Homographs में अंतर: Homophones = Same sound, different spelling, different meaning (bare/bear, write/right)। Homographs = Same spelling, different pronunciation, different meaning (lead = धातु, lead = नेतृत्व करना)। Homonyms = Same sound + Same spelling, different meaning (bank = किनारा, bank = बैंक)। यह distinction exam में trap question के रूप में आती है।

🔷 SECTION 3: SILENT LETTERS (मूक अक्षर)

Definition और Core Idea: Silent Letter वह letter है जो किसी word की spelling में लिखा जाता है लेकिन उसके pronunciation में उस letter की कोई sound नहीं आती। अंग्रेज़ी भाषा में silent letters की समस्या इसलिए है क्योंकि English की spelling system historical pronunciation पर based है — सैकड़ों वर्ष पहले ये letters pronounced होते थे, लेकिन pronunciation समय के साथ बदल गई जबकि spelling वही रही। UPTET में Silent Letters से typically "Which letter is silent in ___" या "Identify the word which has a silent letter" format में questions पूछे जाते हैं।

⚠️ Most Tricky Silent Letter Questions in UPTET:

"Psychology" — P silent (most students forget)

"Knife" — K silent

"Wednesday" — D silent (Wed-nes-day, but D is silent)

"Honest" — H silent (most students say H)

"Island" — S silent (most students don't know)

"Receipt" — P silent

"Cupboard" — P silent

"Debt" — B silent (most know this)

"Soldier" — L silent (sol-jer)

"February" — first R silent in informal pronunciation

🔷 SECTION 4: UNSEEN PASSAGE (अपठित गद्यांश)

Types of Questions Asked in Unseen Passage:

(a) Direct/Factual Questions: Passage में directly stated information पूछी जाती है — "According to the passage, what is...?" इनके answers passage में word-for-word मिलते हैं। यह सबसे easy type है।

(b) Inferential Questions: Passage में directly नहीं लिखा होता लेकिन implied होता है — "What can be inferred from the passage about...?" इनके लिए passage के broader meaning को समझना होता है।

(c) Vocabulary Questions: "The word ___ in the passage means...?" या "Find a word in the passage which means the same as...?" यह antonym-synonym knowledge test करता है।

(d) Title/Theme Questions: "Choose the most appropriate title for the passage" या "What is the central idea of the passage?" इसके लिए main theme को identify करना होता है।

(e) True/False Based: "Which of the following statements is true/false according to the passage?"

Topper Strategy for Unseen Passage (Step-by-Step):

Step 1 — Questions पहले पढ़ो: Passage पढ़ने से पहले सभी questions एक बार ध्यान से पढ़ो। इससे तुम्हें पता चल जाएगा कि passage में किन बातों पर ध्यान देना है — यह targeted reading करवाता है।

Step 2 — Passage ध्यान से पढ़ो (Skimming first): पहले passage को quickly skim करो — main idea और topic पकड़ो। फिर second time carefully पढ़ो।

Step 3 — Keywords Identify करो: Questions में दिए keywords को passage में locate करो और उस area को carefully पढ़ो — answer उसी area में होता है।

Step 4 — Direct Quote vs Paraphrase: Factual questions में passage से exact words use करो। Inferential questions में अपने words में answer दो।

Step 5 — Vocabulary Questions की Strategy: "Find a word meaning same as X" — passage में context देखो, शब्द को अकेले मत देखो। "Find a word meaning opposite of X" — antonym चाहिए, passage में ऐसा word ढूँढो।

Step 6 — Title Question की Strategy: Title passage का central theme capture करना चाहिए — बहुत specific नहीं, बहुत broad भी नहीं। First और last paragraph ध्यान से पढ़ो — title idea इनमें से मिलती है।

Reading Comprehension Skills (जो UPTET में test होती हैं):

Literal Comprehension: जो directly लिखा है वह समझना

Inferential Comprehension: जो implied है वह समझना

Evaluative Comprehension: Passage की quality या argument evaluate करना

Appreciative Comprehension: Language, style, tone appreciate करना

Pedagogy Linkage: Unseen Passage teaching में SQ3R Method (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) बहुत effective है — यह reading comprehension को systematic बनाता है। Think-Aloud Strategy में teacher अपनी thinking process को aloud verbalize करते हुए passage पढ़ता है — students model से सीखते हैं। Reciprocal Teaching में students teacher की role लेकर एक-दूसरे को passage समझाते हैं — यह cooperative learning का उदाहरण है। KWL Chart (Know-Want to know-Learned) pre-reading और post-reading comprehension check के लिए उपयोगी है।

📚 MUST-READ FROM STANDARD SOURCES

UPTET Vocabulary और Comprehension की preparation के लिए सबसे important और trusted sources निम्न हैं। Norman Lewis की "Word Power Made Easy" vocabulary building के लिए gold standard book है — इसमें roots, prefixes, और suffixes के through systematic vocabulary development होती है जो UPTET level vocabulary के लिए पर्याप्त से अधिक है। S.P. Bakshi की "Objective General English" (Arihant) में Antonyms-Synonyms, Homophones, और Reading Comprehension के excellent practice sets हैं — यह UPTET aspirants के लिए most recommended book है। Wren & Martin's "High School English Grammar" में Vocabulary section भी है जिसे देखना चाहिए। NCERT English textbooks (Class 4-8) में passages जिस level पर हैं, UPTET का Unseen Passage लगभग उसी difficulty level पर होता है — इसलिए NCERT के comprehension exercises regularly solve करने चाहिए। R.S. Aggarwal की "English for Competitive Examinations" में Grammar और Vocabulary दोनों के comprehensive exercises मिलते हैं।

सबसे important यह है कि vocabulary building एक ongoing process है — रोज English newspaper (The Hindu या Times of India) का editorial पढ़ो, 5-10 new words note करो, और उनके synonyms-antonyms याद करो। यह habit 3 महीने में vocabulary को dramatically improve कर देती है।

📊 PREVIOUS YEAR PAPER ANALYSIS

Antonyms-Synonyms Analysis: पिछले 10 UPTET papers में Antonyms और Synonyms से हर paper में average 2-3 questions आए हैं। Most frequently tested words — abundant, adversity, arrogant, benevolent, candid, diligent, eloquent, frugal, genuine, humble, ignorant, melancholy, notorious, obsolete, prudent, reluctant, valiant, zealous। Examiner का pattern यह है कि वह ऐसे words चुनता है जिनके multiple synonyms हों और options में सभी "similar" meaning वाले words रखे जाएं — student को exact और most appropriate synonym/antonym choose करना हो। 2019 paper में "notorious" (infamous — correct, famous — wrong trap) और 2021 में "frugal" (thrifty — correct, generous — wrong) directly पूछे गए थे।

Homophones Analysis: हर paper में 1 question Homophones से guaranteed है। Most tested pairs — stationary/stationery, principal/principle, complement/compliment, accept/except, affect/effect, their/there/they're, to/too/two, bare/bear, knew/new, hear/here, rain/reign/rein, peace/piece। Format typically sentence में blank fill करना होता है जहाँ correct homophone चुनना हो। "Principal vs Principle" और "Stationary vs Stationery" सबसे ज्यादा बार पूछे गए हैं।

Silent Letters Analysis: 2-3 papers में 1 question आया है। Most tested words — know/knee (K silent), write/wrong (W silent), sign/foreign (G silent), hour/honest (H silent), walk/talk (L silent), dumb/lamb (B silent), listen/often (T silent)। Examiner typically K-silent और W-silent words पर focus करता है क्योंकि students अक्सर इन्हें pronounce कर देते हैं।

Unseen Passage Analysis: हर paper में एक complete passage set (5-6 questions) आता है। Passages typically 150-200 words के होते हैं। Topics — environmental issues, social values, education, famous personalities, health, nature। Questions — 3-4 factual/direct, 1 vocabulary (find synonym/antonym), 1 title suggestion या main idea। Vocabulary questions में word का meaning passage के context में पूछा जाता है — इसलिए word-level knowledge और contextual understanding दोनों test होते हैं।

📝 MCQ PRACTICE FOR TOPPER LEVEL

Q1. Choose the word most OPPOSITE in meaning to "ZEALOUS":

(a) Enthusiastic

(b) Fervent

(c) Apathetic

(d) Passionate

✅ Correct Answer: (c)

Explanation: "Zealous" = उत्साही/जोशीला। इसका antonym "Apathetic" (= उदासीन/निष्क्रिय) है। Options (a), (b), (d) — Enthusiastic, Fervent, Passionate — ये सभी "Zealous" के Synonyms हैं। यह classic examiner trap है जहाँ antonym पूछा जाए और तीन options synonyms हों।

Type: Probable Concept + Trap-based

Q2. Choose the word most SIMILAR in meaning to "MELANCHOLY":

(a) Cheerful

(b) Sorrowful

(c) Optimistic

(d) Energetic

✅ Correct Answer: (b)

Explanation: "Melancholy" = गहरी उदासी/विषाद। इसका synonym "Sorrowful" (= दुखी) है। Options (a) Cheerful और (c) Optimistic — ये antonyms हैं। Option (d) Energetic — irrelevant है। इस question में examiner ने clearly synonyms और antonyms को mix करके रखा है।

Type: Repeated Concept

Q3. "The _____ is required to report to the office at 9 AM" — choose the correct word:

(a) Principle

(b) Principal

(c) Principel

(d) Principale

✅ Correct Answer: (b)

Explanation: यहाँ office को report करने वाला व्यक्ति (head person) है — यह "Principal" (प्रधानाचार्य/मुख्य व्यक्ति) है। "Principle" = सिद्धांत (moral rule)। Options (c) और (d) — misspelled forms हैं। Memory: PrinciPAL = your PAL (a person).

Type: Repeated Concept (Most frequently tested Homophone)

Q4. "The _____ in the parking lot has been there for three hours" — choose the correct word:

(a) Stationary

(b) Stationery

(c) Stationory

(d) Stationrey

✅ Correct Answer: (a)

Explanation: Parking lot में गाड़ी तीन घंटे से खड़ी (रुकी हुई) है — यह "Stationary" (= स्थिर/रुका हुआ) है। "Stationery" = कलम, कागज़ आदि लेखन सामग्री। Memory Trick: StationARY = stAY (रुकना), StationERY = pEn (writing material).

Type: Repeated Concept + Trap-based

Q5. Which letter is silent in the word "KNOWLEDGE"?

(a) L

(b) W

(c) K

(d) E

✅ Correct Answer: (c)

Explanation: "Knowledge" का pronunciation है "/ˈnɒlɪdʒ/" — यहाँ K बिल्कुल silent है। Rule: "kn" combination में K हमेशा silent होता है। Same rule: know, knee, knife, knight, knot, knit। Option (d) E — end में silent है लेकिन यहाँ K के बारे में पूछा गया है, और K silent है इसलिए (c) correct है।

Type: Repeated Concept

Q6. Which of the following words has a SILENT 'B'?

(a) Brown

(b) Bread

(c) Doubt

(d) Bright

✅ Correct Answer: (c)

Explanation: "Doubt" में B silent है — pronunciation "/daʊt/" — B कोई sound नहीं देता। Rule: "bt" combination में B silent होता है। Same pattern: debt। Options (a) Brown, (b) Bread, (d) Bright — इन सब में B clearly pronounced होता है।

Type: Repeated Concept + Trap-based

Q7. "She went to the market to ___ some vegetables." Choose the correct homophone:

(a) By

(b) Bye

(c) Buy

(d) Bi

✅ Correct Answer: (c)

Explanation: Market में जाकर vegetables खरीदने की बात है — "Buy" (= खरीदना) correct है। "By" = द्वारा/के पास, "Bye" = अलविदा, "Bi" = इस context में irrelevant है।

Type: Repeated Concept

Q8. Choose the word most OPPOSITE in meaning to "NOTORIOUS":

(a) Famous

(b) Renowned

(c) Reputable

(d) Well-known

✅ Correct Answer: (c)

Explanation: "Notorious" = बदनाम/कुख्यात (negative fame)। इसका antonym "Reputable" (= सम्माननीय/अच्छी प्रतिष्ठा वाला) है। यह UPTET का favourite trap है — options (a) Famous, (b) Renowned, (d) Well-known ये सब superficially synonyms लगते हैं लेकिन ये "famous" के synonyms हैं, "notorious" के antonyms नहीं। "Notorious" में negative connotation है जबकि "Famous" में positive — इसलिए simple opposite "Famous" नहीं बल्कि "Reputable/Honourable" है।

Type: Trap-based (Favourite examiner trick — Connotation trap)

Q9. Read the following and answer: "Forests are the lungs of our earth. They purify the air we breathe and provide habitat for millions of species. Deforestation is not just an environmental problem; it is a threat to human survival itself."

What is the most appropriate title for this passage?

(a) Types of Forests

(b) Animals in Forests

(c) Forests — Our Lifeline

(d) Problems of Deforestation

✅ Correct Answer: (c)

Explanation: Passage का central theme यह है कि forests जीवन के लिए essential हैं — "Forests — Our Lifeline" इस theme को perfectly capture करता है। Option (a) "Types of Forests" — passage में types नहीं बताए गए। Option (b) "Animals in Forests" — only partially mentioned। Option (d) "Problems of Deforestation" — too narrow, passage more broadly forests की importance पर है।

Type: Probable Concept

Q10. The word "purify" in the passage above most nearly means:

(a) Pollute

(b) Clean

(c) Destroy

(d) Supply

✅ Correct Answer: (b)

Explanation: "Purify" = शुद्ध करना = "Clean" (साफ करना)। Context में "purify the air we breathe" — यह air को clean/साफ करने की बात है। Option (a) Pollute = antonym है। Options (c) और (d) — context से असंगत हैं।

Type: Repeated Concept (Vocabulary in Context)

Q11. "The _____ between the two brothers showed that they had same interests." Choose the correct word:

(a) Complement

(b) Compliment

(c) Complements

(d) Compliments

✅ Correct Answer: (a)

Explanation: दोनों भाइयों के interests समान होने से relationship पूरक (complementary) है — "Complement" (= पूरक) correct है। "Compliment" = तारीफ करना — यह context में fit नहीं होता। Singular form चाहिए (subject = "the complement") इसलिए "Complement" (a) सही है।

Type: Probable Concept + Trap-based

Q12. Which word contains a SILENT 'H'?

(a) House

(b) Help

(c) Hour

(d) Horse

✅ Correct Answer: (c)

Explanation: "Hour" का pronunciation है "/aʊər/" — यहाँ H बिल्कुल silent है। Options (a) House, (b) Help, (d) Horse — इन सब में H clearly pronounced होता है। Similarly: Honest, Honour, Heir — इनमें H silent है। यह students के लिए confusing area है क्योंकि most words में H pronounced होता है।

Type: Repeated Concept + Trap-based

⚠️ CONCEPT TRAPS AND EXAMINER TRICKS

"Innocent" = निर्दोष (without guilt or sin), "Naive" = भोला (unsophisticated, lacking experience)। Exam में context carefully पढ़ो — legal context में "innocent" होगा, social/worldly experience context में "naive" होगा।

Trap 3 — Their/There/They're Confusion: यह सबसे common homophone trap है। "Their" = उनका (possessive), "There" = वहाँ (place/existence), "They're" = They are (contraction)। Sentence में subject check करो — अगर possession है तो "their", place है तो "there", verb "are" होना चाहिए तो "they're"।

Trap 4 — Stationary "silent E" confusion: कुछ students सोचते हैं "stationary" में ending "e" silent है और "stationery" अलग spelling है। Actual difference है — "stationARY" (ending "ary" = adjective suffix like "voluntary"), "stationERY" (ending "ery" = noun suffix like "bakery, nursery")।

Trap 5 — Silent Letter Multiple Choice Trap: Examiner options में एक commonly known silent letter और एक less-known silent letter रखता है। Example: "Kneel" में — options में K और L दोनों रखे जाते हैं। "Kneel" में K silent है (kn- rule), L pronounced है। Students "knee" याद करके K choose करते हैं — यह correct है, but examiner trick यह है कि कुछ words में unexpectedly L भी silent होता है (जैसे "walk, talk")।

Trap 6 — "Too" vs "To" vs "Two" Context Trap: Examiner sentence में इन तीनों में से किसी एक का blank रखता है और confusing context देता है। Rule: "Too" = भी/अत्यधिक (She is too tired. I want to go too.), "To" = की ओर/infinitive marker (Go to school. I want to eat.), "Two" = 2 (Two books)।

Trap 7 — Comprehension Title Selection Trap: Students अक्सर passage का first sentence या last sentence को title मान लेते हैं — यह wrong approach है। Title passage के overall/central theme को capture करना चाहिए, न कि किसी एक point को। Examiner एक option रखता है जो first sentence के very close होता है — यह trap है।

Trap 8 — Synonym के रूप में Antonym Option: Examiner जानबूझकर antonym को options में रखता है जो "similar sounding" या "related area" का word लगे। Example: "Frugal" का synonym पूछा जाए और options में "Extravagant" रखा जाए — students confuse हो जाते हैं क्योंकि दोनों words money से related हैं।

Trap 9 — Passed vs Past Homophone Trap: "Past" = भूतकाल/बीत गया (noun/adjective/preposition — "the past", "past mistakes", "walk past"), "Passed" = गुज़र गया (verb — past tense of "pass")। "He walked ___ the school" — यहाँ "past" होगा (preposition)। "He ___ the exam" — यहाँ "passed" होगा (verb)।

Trap 10 — Inferential vs Factual Answer: Comprehension में students direct factual answer ढूँढते हैं लेकिन question inferential होता है — option में exact words नहीं होते, paraphrased होता है। इसलिए हमेशा meaning को match करो, exact words को नहीं।

🧠 MNEMONICS / MEMORY TRICKS

Mnemonic 1 — Principal vs Principle:

"PrinciPAL = your PAL (a person)" = School Principal एक person है — PAL याद रखो।

"PrinciplE = rulE" = दोनों में "E" है और दोनों rules/principles हैं।

Mnemonic 2 — Stationary vs Stationery:

"StationARY = stAY (रुको)" = A for Adjective, A for stAy।

"StationERY = pEn" = E for pEn, E for stationEry (writing material)।

Mnemonic 3 — Affect vs Effect:

"RAVEN" = Remember: Affect is a Verb, Effect is a Noun।

(Affect/Effect — पहले A = Action verb, फिर E = End result noun)

Mnemonic 4 — Their/There/They're:

"T-H-E-I-R = possessive" — THEIR में "HEIr" है जो inheritance/possession याद दिलाता है।

"THERE = hERE + T" — place का word है (here और there दोनों place)।

"THEY'RE = THEY + ARE" — contraction है, expand करके देखो।

Mnemonic 5 — Silent K Words:

"KN = No K sound" — "Kn = N only"। सभी KN words में K silent।

Know, Knee, Knife, Knight, Knock, Knot, Knit, Kneel = "K is the Ninja — silent but deadly!"

Mnemonic 6 — Silent W Words:

"WR = R only" — WR words में W silent।

Write, Wrong, Wrap, Wrist, Wreck, Wren, Wrestle = "W runs away when R arrives!"

Mnemonic 7 — Silent B Words:

"MB at end = M only" — Bomb, Lamb, Thumb, Comb, Climb।

"BT = T only" — Debt, Doubt, Subtle।

याद रखें: "B is Buried (मृत) at the end of MB words!"

Mnemonic 8 — Always Confused Antonym Pairs:

"NAST" = Notorious-Antonym = reSpecTable (reputable, honourable)

Notorious ≠ Famous (यह UPTET का #1 trap है — "Famous" wrong answer है!)

Mnemonic 9 — Complement vs Compliment:

"CompleteMENT = Complement" — पूरक बनाना, complete करना।

"NiceMENT = Compliment" — nice comment/praise।

या: "I compliMENT you on your nice comMENT!"

Mnemonic 10 — SQ3R for Unseen Passage:

"SQRRR" = Survey (overview), Question (questions पहले पढ़ो), Read (carefully), Recite (mentally summarize), Review (answers check करो)।

Mnemonic 11 — To/Too/Two:

"TWO = 2 (number)" — "W" याद करो।

"TOO = also (भी)" = TOO has extra "O" — Too much, Too extra!

"TO = direction or infinitive" — बाकी सब cases में TO।

⚡ 1-MINUTE REVISION SHEET

ANTONYMS-SYNONYMS: Notorious ≠ Famous (notorious = बदनाम, antonym = reputable)। Innocent ≠ Naive (subtle difference — context check करो)। Key pairs: Abundant↔Scarce, Arrogant↔Humble, Benevolent↔Cruel, Diligent↔Lazy, Frugal↔Extravagant, Genuine↔Fake, Melancholy↔Cheerful, Optimistic↔Pessimistic, Prudent↔Reckless, Valiant↔Cowardly, Zealous↔Apathetic।

HOMOPHONES: Principal=person, Principle=rule। Stationary=रुका, Stationery=pen-paper। Affect=verb, Effect=noun। Complement=पूरक, Compliment=तारीफ। Their=उनका, There=वहाँ, They're=they are। Accept=स्वीकार, Except=छोड़कर। Peace=शांति, Piece=टुकड़ा। Rain=बारिश, Reign=राज, Rein=लगाम।

SILENT LETTERS: K silent in KN words (know, knife, knee, knight)। W silent in WR words (write, wrong, wrap, wrist)। B silent in MB-end and BT (lamb, doubt, debt)। H silent (hour, honest, honour, heir)। G silent in GN (sign, design, foreign)। L silent (walk, talk, calm, palm, could, would)। T silent (listen, often, castle, whistle)।

UNSEEN PASSAGE: Questions पहले पढ़ो → Skim करो → Keywords locate करो → Factual answers = passage से directly। Vocabulary question = context देखो। Title = central theme, not first line। Inferential = meaning match करो, exact words नहीं।

🏆 SCORE BOOSTER STRATEGY

"Principal" always before a person/amount, "Principle" always after/about a rule or idea — यह pattern याद करो। "Stationary" = movement से related context, "Stationery" = school/office/writing context — context clue use करो।

Strategy 5 — Connotation Awareness: Synonym questions में examiner connotation trap रखता है — "notorious vs famous", "slim vs thin", "innocent vs naive"। इसके लिए positive/negative connotation की awareness develop करो। Words को positive/negative/neutral categories में mentally tag करो।

Strategy 6 — Previous Year Paper Analysis: इस topic cluster की preparation में कम से कम 5-6 previous year UPTET papers के vocabulary questions solve करो और note करो कि कौन से words repeatedly आए हैं। वे words exam-high-frequency words हैं — उन्हें first priority दो।

Strategy 7 — 10-5-2 Daily Vocabulary Plan: रोज 10 new antonym-synonym pairs, 5 new homophone pairs, 2 new silent letter words याद करो। यह daily habit 60 दिनों में इतनी vocabulary build कर देगी जो UPTET के लिए पर्याप्त से अधिक है।

Strategy 8 — Elimination in Comprehension MCQs: Passage questions में तुरंत वे options eliminate करो जो passage में mentioned ही नहीं हैं या clearly contradiction हैं। Usually 2 options clearly wrong होते हैं — eliminate करके 50-50 chance पर आ जाओ, फिर careful reading से correct answer choose करो।
